Greetings! I decided to start this blog because I have always been enchanted by the American southwest. Why you ask? Well… ugh…. I have no idea really. I guess I’ve just always found it to be so beautiful and so different from the rest of the country. My sole  intention in writing this  blog is to combine the  two things that I love doing the most ; traveling and writing. I mostly write about what I  personally experience and hope that maybe it will inspire others to actually go to these wonderful places.  My very first trip to the Grand Canyon was so amazing and ever since then I guess I contracted the “travel bug”. That’s what the southwest can do to you.  The sky seems bigger and bluer. The mountains taller and the air fresher. The purple and golden sunsets  almost entrance you and you seem to own a piece of the sky  all to yourself. What I love the most about traveling through the southwest is the warmth and free-spirit of the people.  They seem to appreciate the simple beauty in life a little more. They are warm and friendly. They  are always willing to share their aspect of history which is often overlooked in the history books. Often these southwestern towns’ oral tradition are not as popular as this region was one of the last to be settled and yet still there is a bit of that influence felt when you drive past old deserted ghost towns or a 400 year old Spanish mission. When you take the time to listen to certain stories told, you’ll soon realize that history was made here too. This region to me represents an older, organic, dare I say, natural rhythm. The natural beauty of this area cannot be compared to any region in the world. I hope to see all of it if that’s possible!

Smiles,

E
